Ingredients (serves 4 people)

  • 1 1/2 cup of quinoa
  • Grated cheese (gruyere type)
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Boil 3 cups of water in a saucepan. Add quinoa and cook on a medium heat. Once the quinoa is cooked, add salt, pepper, butter and milk. One knows that the quinoa is cooked when the seeds are completely broken up and there is a slight little water. Do not let the quinoa on the fire too long to prevent it from taking a thick porridge consistency. The quinoa should retain a little crunchy taste.

Cook on slow heat for 2 minutes while occasionally stirring the mixture. Remove from the heat, serve in a plate and decorated with grated cheese.

The Pesque may be served with any type of meat. However, meat is optional because as is a very complete and balanced food itself, with a high content of vegetable proteins and amino acids.
